The House
Situated in the heart of Posadas our private guest house is in excess of 200 years old and was completely restored in 2005. Originally constructed as a private dwelling for a successful don, the house was transformed into a private school in the latter half of last century, before returning to a private dwelling a few years ago. With guest accommodation comprising of four well appointed and tastefully renovated ensuite bedrooms (including one family room), guest terrace and separate breakfast room the house is an ideal place to relax when desired, or use as a base when wishing to uncover the hidden treasures of inland andalucia. Complete with high ceilings, wrought iron banisters aside sweeping stairway and both central and rear courtyards the house typifies early andalucia construction. The central courtyard has a glass covered roof in order to minimise the impact of the midday heat and a spiral staircase offers alternative access to the first floor. Painstakingly restored original features such as heavy doors and windows compliment contemporary redesign to a high standard. Resulting in a modern and stylish dwelling that has retained much of its original charm and character. An open private guest terrace offers the chance to relax and unwind with a glass of wine or chilled beer after that long day of sightseeing.
